Our story

From the Himalayas. Made by hand.

From the high pastures of Mustang to the looms of Kathmandu, each piece passes through skilled, careful hands. With nearly 30 years of excellence, our family workshop has carried this craft forward.

Pink pashmina shawl with fringed edges, made in our Kathmandu workshop

A family workshop in Kathmandu

SK Pashmina is a family workshop. For nearly 30 years we have paired time-honoured techniques with an uncompromising eye for quality, and every shawl, stole and sweater still passes through skilled, careful hands. Our pashmina comes from the fine undercoat of the Himalayan chyangra goat, one of the softest and warmest fibres there is.

Woven

Artisans weaving pashmina on looms in our Kathmandu studio

On the looms of our Kathmandu studio, artisans weave fine pashmina yarn into soft, even cloth. This is where our pashmina shawls and stoles begin.

Knitted

Each piece of cashmere knitwear is knitted, finished by hand and signed before it leaves the studio. Our sweaters, zip cardigans and trousers come in twelve shades.

Direct from the maker

Because we make everything ourselves, you buy straight from the workshop: online with delivery to Europe and America, or in person. Boutiques, department stores and brands can order wholesale and private label pashmina and cashmere direct from the factory.
